My cats gums are red

I have a siamese cat that has been acting lethargic lately and has no interest in most things. I checked her gum line and she has a red line where her gums meet her teeth. What should I do?

the red line indicates that she has gingivitis. This is often but by no means always associated with some degree of kidney malfunction so your best bet is to plan to h get her to the vets on Wednesday morning and be advised by then I do suggest that you you request blood samples to check out liver and kidney function and whatever else is suggested as a result of the initial clinical examination. Treat as normal till then. Dietary modification may be necessary depending on the results of the blood samples
