Is this the start of the end

My cat is now 13 years old. I have been getting a but more concerned over the last few days and I am hoping you can help. When he has been in a deep sleep it take a while for him to come round. He goes really floppy and seems to lose control of his head. When you put him on the floor he is off balance. Then 2 nights ago we called him in he jumped the fence and looked like he was going to land in the bin then he just fell to the floor off the bin. Like he didn't land properly or didn't realise the bin was there (the bin has been there for 4 years.) Dont know if the vets can do anything. Thanks in advance. Emma

Sounds a bit of a puzzle. Time to take him to the vets me thinks. I am fascinated to hear what is found.

Could you give me any idea as to what this could be as cannot get to the vets for a few days it a the off balance and extra cuddles that concern me.

sounds neurological! may have had a mild stroke. in which case now the acute phase is over time and rest is indicated. Could be circulation related in which case appropriate medication may well help. that is why I advise getting him checked out as soon as you are able in as stress free a way as possible.
Good luck
