constantly popping her tongue in and out her mouth

keeps sticking tongue in and out her mouth constanly and teeth look okay .. why?

shes not drooling but its as if shes licking her nose all the time but its not wet or dripping if anything its seems dry but shes been doing this for about 1 mth now and shes not sneezing at all.. but when a dog does this constanly for hours on end theres got to be summit wrong.. just worried a vet will think we overreacting and being silly .

I agree -- see if Stuart can throw some light on it before going to the vets.

There could always be a tooth problem that you can't see.

No extra stress around the house ??? as obviously this is a "calming signal" in a dog.

I know I'm just throwing possibilities in there just in case.

sorry thought I had already answered this. Must have been having another blonde moment!
The additional information is useful however so thanks for that.
I suspect that she has some local irritation on her nose (may be just clearing the discharge from a seasonal runny nose, or she has toothache from an upper front tooth
As long as she is ok in herself give it a day or three and if no change then get her looked at.

thanks all shes not doing it so much now maybes just a dry nose but will keep eye on her ..dont know how to close the thread
