bichon hit the floor hard, seems fine, but are there any hidden dangers?

A bichon, 3 years old, jumped from my arms, about 1m high, to the floor, lost control and landed hard on the floor.
Started to cry and I collected her from the floor and she stopped crying. In a couple of minutes she was not able to stand
on her feet. Her feet could not support her weight (about 5kg). She could not walk straight, tail down, she looked like fainting.
After another 5' (appr.) she was back to normal. Happy and playful and fast. Like nothing happened. She is like that since
Monday, when this all happened. The question is: are there any hidden dangers for her, should we take her to a vet for a consult?
Thank you,
delia

Answer this question
jampot

he may just be a bit lazy for a few days as he may of had a hard hit or may of cauht his head on the way. i would watch his reactions to food and water for the next week and if see symptoms then get a vets advice.

sounds sensible to me Jampot thanks It does sound as though he was a bit concussed and do just let him take things easy like no barking at the post man and all that sort of stuff that is so difficult to prevent and watch for any unusual signs. if he does start to be lethargic or lazier than usual the do get him checked. it took me 5 weeks to go to the doctor since my last fall and the brain scan is due on Saturday! do as I say not as I do!
