Help very worried about my baby girl

Hello, I need some help with my chorky Poppy, today myself and my husband noticed that poppy's poop had a load of mucus in it. Plus about two weeks ago she was sick and she bought up bright yellow byilo. She has been very quiet, she is still eating OK. Her pee is very strong. What should I do, and should I be worried about her!!!! She is my baby as I can't have children with my husband.

Yellow bile is only acid from an empty stomach so not that unusual. Mucus in the poop isn't that unusual either. Can you tell us if the dog is up to date on worming.

The symptoms you describe does sound as if she has possibly picked up a bacterial infection (if not worms)

If you do take her to the vets see if you can get a couple of samples to take with you.

As long as she is eating and acting normally I wouldn't class this as an emergency however, if she is very quiet and if she gets any more lethargic then she does need to see a vet.

Personally I'd schedule a vet appointment and take samples with me as the vet might just feel she needs AB's but try and get some good probiotics into her as well.

She has been Wormed at Christmas, she is not due to be wormer till 11/4/2017.
We have notice, that she really is not drinking, but she is eating. Plus her peep is very strong, we got her as a result, due to her being beaten by her old owner, her Bladder was badly injured and she finds it hard to control it, so to boost her confidence we got her some little knicker which helped, we have notice that on her pads the peep is very very strong, and she is get a brown build up around her girly bits.

Oh my word...the poor sweet little mite. How can someone beat something so small and helpless.

In view of this information I would definitely schedule a veterinary check up and it's possible they might make sure nothing else is going on in the bladder.

Difficult to like some people isn't it when you hear stories like that.

And thankyou Stuart :D (smiley face)

Good volley hon assistant. Vet today and take a urine sample with you. (The dorkie's urine of course!) small clean frying pan or syringe might help. The urine only needs to be uncontaminated for bacteriology so let the vet collect that sample.
