SNAKE BITE

MY HORSE CAME IN FROM THE FIELD LAST NIGHT CRIPPLED LAME SO I CALLED THE VET.

THERE WAS NO TRAUMA SITE JUST VERY LARGE SWELLING AT THE TOP OF HIS LEG ON HIS SHOLDER. THE VET AND MYSELF WERE BAFFLED AS TO HOW HE COULD HAVE DONE THIS AS THERE WAS NO SIGN OF A KICK OR ANYTHING. WE CROSSED TIED HIM LAST NIGHT IN FEAR THAT HE MAY HAVE CRACKED A BONE.

THIS MORNING HE CAME OUT 90% BETTER BUT STILL WITH THIS HUGE SWELLING.

THE VET HAS SUJUSTED A SNAKE BITE.

HAS ANY BODY EVER EXPERIENCED THIS BEFOR OR KNOW OF ANT TREATMENT TIPS ?

Snake bite and stings are a possibility as is a haematoma from rolling on the hard ground.
I suggest massage either by hand or using a Niagra Massager as supplied by equissage
