Tails Again...

After a fortnight, Jasmines tail has scabbed over well and seems to be healing however the top scab seems to be seeping quite a bit over the past few days. I have done nothing different at all and am still spraying and bathing it as normal. The scab sloughed a little. Leaving a bit of a crater in her tail and bleeding a little, it also seems to have a layer of pus underneath. Do you think this sounds like infection and when should the scabs start to heal up?

Thanks.

yes it does sound a though there is some persistent infection carry on as you have been and if it doesn't resolve then there may be necessary to scrape out (debride) any devitalised tissue from the depths of the wound.

Okay, is it a good thing that the wound bleeds easily? All you have to do is wipe it gently and it bleeds...

yes as long as it is clean underneath. General rule if a scab is healthy leave it if it looks infected remove it!
