dirty rabbit again!!..help!

hi
i followed your advice a took rabbit to the vets to have her cleaned properally and i also asked if there might be an underlying problem but the vet just told me she was lazy and wasnt prepared to even think aobut it. well that was two weeks ago, now its happened again. i dont know what to do next.
i would try cleaning her myself but at the moment shes she running away from me and knowing her she will be in a mood with me for atleast another week

Check diet contains good quality hay for the rabbit to forage on. Check teeth front and back(cheek teeth). Feed supparabbit complete pelleted diet and probiotics (protexin pro or similar) if no improvement get another complete check out or ask for a referral. If still having problems as summer approaches use Rearguard to prevent fly strike(maggots).

Thank you for your reply it is good to see the site being used as intended.
There is ALWAYSD a reason why a rabbit does not clean itself properly and in the female rabbit uterine problems are not uncommon.
I also agree that a second opinion is often beneficial and should always be requested if you are not happy with the first one. All you need to do is ask for it to be arranged. The 2nd opinion vet will always contact the first vet for details of the case and the quickest way of arranging this is though the primary vet.

oh dear im sorry to here that squidgy....yes i got a second opinion, and im very glad i did, she was extremely through and did lots of tests, it turns out she it about the right weight, but she has a 'clumsy tumsy' (!) and can not have alot of watery foods, so shes had to give up her daily greens and have vitimin drops in her water instead. she is allowed little bits of greens, she often nibbles at the grass when out inthe garden.
