My hamster

My hamster hasnt really been herself lately, she doesnt come out at night for the last two nights. Also today I noticed she has had some diarrohea and its quite messy around her backside, should i take her to a vet?

Yes. You do not say how old she is but at any age diarrhoea in the hamster is serious. They dehydrate very rapidly and there s no doubt the sooner they are treated the better the chances of success.

Thank you for your reply, I took the hamster to the vets and she gave me some Protexin to sprinkle on the food and in the water. The hamster is starting to get a bit better but is still a bit down in the dumps!!!
